About Me

Everyday affords us the opportunity to be better

I was born in Port-au-Prince Haiti and grew up with six siblings in a close-knit family. I graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. For many years, I worked in the corporate world, before finding my calling as an advocate for the elderly, the young and the disabled.

For ten years, I owned and managed a retirement home in St Petersburg, Florida. I was a Case Manager at a transitional housing for abused women and their children. As a Support Coordinator for the State of Florida, I advocated on behalf of individuals with developmental disabilities to be mainstreamed and live in their communities.

My diverse background as an immigrant has enriched my life and has provided me with a host of issues and life experiences to write about. I’m an avid reader and an enthusiastic storyteller. I love to travel to new places and meet new people. I write so I can share my personal experiences through, fiction, non-fiction and essays with unsuspecting folks. I live in Florida with my husband, where we raised two daughters.

My debut novel, The Island Sisters, was published in June 2023 with BHC Press.
